# Aurora IV research in progress

Not a completed essay. Original indexed script retrieved and inspected in full on 18 September 2026. Four token records retrieved, but artwork visual inspection remains outstanding.

## Identity

ge1doot, project 56, contract 0xa7d8d9ef8d8ce8992df33d8b8cf4aebabd5bd270, atlas index54. Indexed description refers to wandering through worlds in search of home. Avoid turning that short description into an undocumented development history. Broad web search returned mainly other ge1doot projects, not a useful Aurora IV contemporary account; next inspect official collection and existing artist bibliography.

- Seed uses parseInt(tokenData.hash.slice(0,16),16), then a bitwise evolving generator returning abs-like state modulo1000 divided1000. Two initial values discarded. Small selection function picks array entries. No external libraries imported.
- Day/night selection affects clear colour, light position and shader fog density. R selects four logged model names: megalopolis, city, station, outpost, through a weighted repeated-entry array. Hue, occasional multicolour increments, clockwise/counterclockwise rotation, grayscale and sepia filters are seeded choices. Do not equate thresholds with audited minted frequencies.
- Transformation state includes 4x4 matrix, HSV values, recursion depth and rule index. Helpers copy state, increment depth and apply translation, scale, rotations and colour operations. Rules enqueue children, then H drains that queue. This is a recursive grammar executed iteratively through a queue, not a particle simulation or imported city model.
- R1 contains two equally weighted alternatives with model-dependent depth limits and three/four transformed children. Each also invokes block. Block has weighted alternatives for slab, pyramid form, grids of small cubes, stacked tapered forms or skeletal frame. Aspect-ratio test L influences branch and dimensions. T emits cube36vertices; S pyramid18vertices.
- nt transforms primitive vertices and computes normals, producing interleaved position/normal/HSV arrays. WebGL vertex shader converts HSV to RGB, transforms positions and normals. Fragment shader applies diffuse/specular lighting, time-varying screen-coordinate noise and depth fog. Thus visible animation includes a shader effect as well as changing view; not structural regeneration each frame.
- requestAnimationFrame advances horizontal viewing angle by sx then renders. Camera eases toward dx/dy and zoom; vertical target clamped -45..45. Pointerdown sets sx=0, single-pointer movement changes view targets. Release clears down state without restoring sx. Therefore interaction stops automatic rotation permanently for this renderer instance unless reloaded; do not claim release resumes it.
- Wheel changes zoom in bounded increments except ctrl-wheel; two-pointer separation also changes zoom. Pointerout/leave/cancel release state. Keyboard Space sets visible vertex count u=0, then rendering adds18vertices per frame until geometry count reached. This is a reveal of the already generated geometry, not a new seeded composition.
- Each frame draws TRIANGLES then LINE_LOOP over same visible array. Depth testing and face culling enabled. Initial geometry count is fully visible, then ten rt calls precede animation. Resize updates canvas pixel size and projection. Wrapper expects an existing canvas, WebGL support and tokenData.

## Live visual inspection

18 September2026: original generator URLs for tokens56000000,56000001,56000010,56000020 opened in built-in browser. Each captured at two separated times. All four automatically rotate; screenshots show changed occlusion and perspective with the same geometric components. No interaction performed yet.

- #0: dark blue-grey surroundings; cream and orange slabs/pyramids, vivid magenta cube arrays and green layered pyramidal stacks. View feels immersed inside a dense construction: close objects extend offscreen while distant components fade. Thin diagonal connector-like lines cross gaps. Green stacks move from centre to foreground left as viewpoint rotates; this is changed perspective, not newly grown geometry.
- #1: pale blue surroundings, warm orange pyramids and cream upright slabs with turquoise gridded cubes. A huge orange slope initially dominates right; later it passes left as turquoise cube arrays enter foreground. Repeated tiered forms recur at small and large scales; no literal city use inferred.
- #10: pale blue background, more externally legible tall narrow aggregate with green tiered platforms, cream blocks, magenta details and high orange pyramids. Greater open area around the vertical structure than #0/#1 in the inspected views. Rotation moves a large pale rectangular face into centre and alters depth relationships of the green tiers.
- #20: sparse floating arrangement against pale blue, large orange-and-black striped cuboid, cream lower blocks, orange pyramids and thin dark open rectangular frames. Empty space separates near slab from farther construction. Rotation exposes broader faces and changes overlap while the connected set remains identifiable.

Observations are these four selected early editions, not a claim about the whole128. World, city, station and similar readings are interpretations unless tied to the script's logged model category.

## Official release and held example

Fresh Hasura query matched AB5D wallet0xdd19308a9731cdecb67e0d80ca6823394208c045 to edition93 token56000093. Stored held.json. Features day,hue15,station,clockwise. Original generator inspected at two separated times, confirming automatic rotation. Cream slabs, orange pyramids, red-orange striped blocks, turquoise layered forms, pale blue surroundings. Dense floating vertical assembly with thin crossing lines.

Space key tested on original canvas. Subsequent screenshot shows substantially reduced geometry while rotation continues, consistent with code's vertex-count reset and gradual reveal. This does not regenerate a new seed. Pointer/zoom interaction remains code-inspected only.
