# Gizmobotz research notes

Status: draft-for-human-review; pending coordinator editorial acceptance. No website, shared manifest, builder or Git action performed.

Identity: Ethereum chain 1, contract 0xa7d8d9ef8d8ce8992df33d8b8cf4aebabd5bd270, project 105, exact slug gizmobotz-by-mark-cotton. Atlas position 109 was not used as project ID. Fresh exact query and observation time retained in evidence.json.

Methods: read assignment and retained canonical methodology. Inspect official page, artist primary retrospective, contemporary Art Blocks newsletter, operative Creative Commons terms, dependency licence, exact indexed program and token records. Existing artist dossier bibliography used for discovery only. No generic profile sources padded into the cited ledger. Read complete relevant source bodies, including article opening and development discussion, not only search snippets.

Thirty-two unique routines shuffled and first nine used. Col array similarly shuffled; individual routines override/add some fills. PRNG continues in connector dots during draw. No agent-to-agent messaging found. No artist input handler, audio code or external image/media loads found. p5@1.0.0 separately required. No finite stop, no exact whole-work loop measured. frameCount and millis differ; physical frame rate and cross-browser synchronization unmeasured. Hash is tokenData.hash, not automatically equal to mint_transaction_hash. No artist code redistributed. Raw retrieval used for reading only, not publication. Index retrieval, no pinned chain block.

Outputs: verified editions 0,1,10,20 plus held #78. All five original platform generators inspected twice at distinct moments, automatically moving without click. Each bot stays in its circular location while rotations and colours change. Notes identify the source features and actual appearances. #0 includes Vinyl lettering and Angrybot; #1 prominent Twisty/Angrybot central column; #10 Atomic and face/mechanism mixture; #20 skull, four squares and central line network; #78 skull, clock and square/ring patterns. Small purposeful sample, no rarity/distribution claim. Browser screenshots provide visual evidence only, audio not auditioned. No documented interaction to test. Exact capture timestamps and frame counts were not instrumented; evidence records consolidation time and explicit duration basis.

Holding: #78 owner freshly matches dd19308a9731cdecb67e0d80ca6823394208c045. All three current profile linked_accounts recovered from HTTP 200 HTML and retained in evidence. Additional #198 also currently matches this owner, but not used as a viewed example. Header first indexed mint is 7 July 2021; public release 17 July. Five canonical token pages freshly HTTP 200.

Contemporary 4 August Art Blocks newsletter says nearly six hours. No false precision for announced opening: exact interval remains indexed second mint to completion. Current 1000/1000, 0.085 ETH cannot prove original announced limit or all paid prices. Allocations not audited. Newsletter $14,000 charity report attributed, not transfer-verified or converted at current rates.

Rights: artist-set label CC BY-NC 4.0 and corresponding official operative legal code inspected. Section 2 noncommercial sharing/adaptation; section 3 attribution, notices, licence link and change marking; no endorsement. No separate artist-code grant found. p5 LGPL 2.1 separate. No local media assets delivered. Recommend attributed noncommercial remote live presentation and canonical/licence links; actual AB5D page embed requires coordinator QA. Earlier artwork licence history unknown.

Access issues: Instagram artist destination failed in web reader. AB5D dossier page failed in web reader; local bibliography provided leads only. Charity source first web request timed out, direct HTTP returned 403, then open of discovered source reference succeeded and full relevant article body was inspected. Gallery page inspected but not cited, since it adds no necessary series-specific evidence. No source credited based solely on a failed fetch.

Unresolved research questions:
- Original mint price, maximum and allocations.
- Detailed bot prototypes and development dates.
