# Research methods and limitations

Read local assignment, common instructions, full canonical methodology and package templates. Retrieved fresh exact-slug project record and corroborated contract/project. Read all 4,010 bytes of indexed artist script. Exact digest is in record/evidence. Read setup, all hash helpers, geometry, all drawing and color routines in full. Original generators were executed by the official site in isolated Chrome research tab, not reconstructed locally. No block-pinned direct chain extraction was performed.

Inspected official collection page, original artist landing HTML, full Kantor interview, named CC operative text, p5 release-tag licence, five originals, canonical token pages and current AB5D profile linked-account data. Source ledger treats original token outputs as separate primary visual objects, not independent corroboration of platform metadata. Artist dossier used only as discovery aid. Search results not used as factual evidence.

## Sampling and runtime

Five verified editions: 0, 1, 10, 20 and held 223. All initial originals actually viewed through CUA screenshots. Early examples are assignment leads and not representative/random samples. No rarity calculation. No audio heard or instrumentally tested. Full artist script has no audio calls, user input handler or temporal update. Artist landing wrapper has S-key save handler not present in indexed artist script. p5@1.0.0 is indexed runtime label. A fetched cdnjs URL labelled 1.0.0 returned a v0.10.2 header; it was not established as the dependency of the actual generator and is not used to overwrite project runtime metadata.

After initially rendering #223 successfully, later CUA captures showed black. Cause unknown, not asserted to be artistic animation. Final static header media should be checked by coordinator. No remote embed stability assertion made.

## Mint chronology

Artist landing source retains July 7 16:00 UTC target; overlay now commented out. First indexed mint July 5 23:44:06; activation July 6 14:58:06; completion July 7 18:51:35. Difference from countdown target to completion = 2:51:35. This is not an established public sellout interval. #1 and #10 minted July 7 16:03:32, #20 at 16:03:52 and #223 at 16:05:43. Original price, public allocation and original cap not established. No claim of launch incidents or contemporaneous reception.

Current indexed artwork label CC BY-NC 4.0. Project link_to_license null. Named generic legal terms read. Artist-code rights unknown. p5 1.0.0 repository licence LGPL 2.1 read separately. No artist code or media redistributed in seven-file package. Original prose CC0-1.0.

## Failed accesses and resolution

Python requests module unavailable; standard-library urllib used. Initial token query incorrectly selected image relationship without fields; corrected query retained in evidence. Web tool would not open artist site, but direct HTTP fetched full HTML and Chrome opened it. Generator direct urllib request returned HTTP 403, whereas Chrome original rendered. Incorrect p5 tag v1.0.0 paths returned 404; GitHub contents API at tag 1.0.0 located actual licence. These failures are not cited as inspected source content.

## Review and measured effort

Status draft-for-human-review. Pending exceptions cover mint-commercial history, separate code rights, renderer stability and telemetry. Actual model gpt-6-astra. No human editing yet. Per-essay token counters unavailable; use null and parent measurement. Research start time was not instrumented, so no precise elapsed duration claimed. All prose original; historical unknowns explicit.

Header static preview subsequently verified visually: official media-proxy redirected to Art Blocks S3 original 2400x2400 PNG and rendered the observed edition 223. Generator stability issue remains separate. Full indexed project re-fetched and script digest matched at 2026-09-17T22:09:08.258697+00:00.
