# R3sonance research notes

The complete 16,156-character indexed script was read on 17 September 2026. This was static inspection of the retrieved source, not an independently reconstructed chain-pinned execution. Official live renderers were viewed separately.

## Technical evidence

Inspected hash-prefix seed, bitwise generator, custom matrix operations, queued recursive grammar, depth limits, type-dependent starting arrays, four base geometries and ANGLE instancing. Inspected all vertex and fragment shader code, including sine displacement, background camera exception, lighting, screen-position colour changes and frame-dependent grain. No external drawing-library import found.

The animation counter advances per frame. Camera rotation is separate and persists after dragging. Source includes wheel/pinch zoom, rapid double-press animation-counter toggle, space-bar solid-fraction toggle and OBJ export. Direct interaction testing confirmed dragging on #10. Other controls were inspected in code rather than all exercised. OBJ output does not bake the time-dependent shader displacement; export was not downloaded.

Performance adaptation reduces the drawn instance fraction when measured frame rate is low. The mobile user-agent branch draws triangles only and uses pixel ratio one; desktop also draws lines and uses device pixel ratio. These conditions qualify comparisons of apparent density and timing. Script weights were not converted into audited rarity frequencies.

## Source reading

The Art Blocks collection page and indexed metadata were read. The browser in Australia displayed release 1 March 2021; the indexed second mint/start is 28 February at 17:00:02 with offset +00:00. Calendar formatting is a plausible explanation, not an independently verified application implementation. The first mint is 26 February and remains distinct. Current supply, maximum and price are observations, not a complete sale reconstruction.

Jeff Davis's 6 January 2021 interview concerns Ignition. It supplies preceding practice and grammar context, not direct testimony about R3sonance's development. Discussion derived from it is concise. The ZKM exhibition page was read successfully in Chrome after web-fetch timeouts. It lists R3sonance #440 and #56 in CryptoArt: It's Not About Money, 7 April to 18 July 2021. The page does not establish ownership or detailed playback conditions for those two works.

## Visual evidence

Four official canonical generators were embedded at 512 by 512 for comparison. Loaded examples #0, #1, #10 and #20 were inspected in successive moving states. #0 combines red/turquoise ranks around a spine; #1 has amber/yellow ranks and grey uprights; #10 has blue/cyan rails with orange-red planes; #20 is an extensive orange-red array with overhead slabs and receding frames. Dragging #10 visibly tilted the camera view. All four are nominal, unfolded, night outputs. No day, expanded or disaggregated output was inspected for this essay.

A fresh indexed owner query for #380 matched AB5D wallet 0xdd19308a9731cdecb67e0d80ca6823394208c045. Its canonical renderer was viewed in successive frames showing automatic movement of its orange-red/blue structure, dark frames and white bars. The official live renderer is used for presentation, without redistributing artist source.

## Limits

Original price and allocation history, operative NIFTY License text, separate artist-code grant, chain-pinned source comparison and exhibition display conditions remain unresolved. Eight material references, four inspected live examples and seven essay sections. Structural validation does not grant editorial acceptance.

Local validation passed at 1,970 words, eight references and four examples. Desktop and 390px responsive checks confirmed visible live artwork, aligned left edges, no horizontal overflow and exactly eight reference returns. Production verification follows deployment.
