A dedicated Star Flower entry is dated 28 July 2021, after the April Art Blocks release. Its portfolio date should not be substituted for the project's launch or conception. The account below therefore rests primarily on the deployed program and its outputs, rather than an invented sequence of sketches or revisions.       "heading": "How the work was constructed",
      "bodyMarkdown": "The complete indexed script contains 4,294 characters and uses p5.js 1.0.0. A custom bitwise pseudorandom generator is seeded from the token hash. A separate helper can manufacture a random hash, but the inspected execution path does not call it. The artwork's active variation comes from the supplied token input and the sequence of decisions made from it. The evidence record retains a digest of the retrieved script. [^S01] [^S02]\n\nSetup creates between 100 and 199 petal objects at the centre of the square canvas. Each receives horizontal and vertical velocity components within a selected speed range. Their shared starting point explains the concentrated centre, while their different directions spread the marks outward. Since the two components are selected independently, the procedure should not be described as evenly spaced rays arranged around a circle. [^S02]\n\nEach petal initially has a diameter of one. During drawing, the circle is placed before the position and diameter are updated. Subsequent diameters follow an exponential reduction, starting from a scale of one hundred and shrinking with frame count. Once the calculated size drops below one, it is replaced by zero. This creates a finite sequence of visible marks even though the script does not explicitly stop its draw loop. [^S02]\n\nThe ordering is important to the appearance. Larger early circles overlap heavily near the centre. As the objects travel outward and the circles shrink, separate edges become easier to distinguish. The tapering trails are therefore records of successive drawing states. A single tapered shape is not drawn as an outline and filled; its contour emerges from many overlapping circular impressions. [^S02] [^S05] [^S08]\n\nMovement combines a selected velocity with differences between small random samples. The code first subtracts an accumulated randomizer, then adds its updated value during the next operation. Read together, the horizontal displacement is the selected velocity plus one new difference; the vertical displacement also includes a second difference. Reading the accumulation alone would incorrectly suggest a different kind of accelerating motion. The local irregularities sit on top of a persistent outward tendency. [^S02]\n\nA misspelled property in the movement method prevents the intended-looking small-diameter condition from reading the actual diameter. The alternative movement branch consequently governs the inspected path. This is a reason to analyse executed expressions rather than paraphrase method names. The essay does not presume whether the artist regarded that detail as a defect, an accepted result or an unnoticed part of the process. [^S02]\n\nColour is also more coordinated than the many petal objects might suggest. The first object's colour-adjustment method sets the current drawing fill. Later circles in the loop use that shared fill. Their stored colour fields are not independently applied by the circle-drawing method. The visual bands across different trails can therefore register a common sequence of colour changes as the objects move in different directions. [^S02]\n\nThat adjustment combines an exponential term, channel increments and a remainder operation. Because the method is called with the first object's index, zero, the inspected call reaches one of its three coded ranges rather than sampling all three ranges equally. Another constructor branch tests for a value outside the range produced by its selection expression. Available-looking code is not always reachable code, and the presence of several branches does not establish their distribution in the edition. [^S02]\n\nThe background is painted only on the first frame, after the first circle has been issued. Later frames retain the earlier marks. This accumulation distinguishes Star Flower from an animation that clears and redraws a moving object every time. Its history remains visible in the finished picture: the centre contains earlier, broader impressions and the extremities contain later, smaller ones. [^S02]\n\nThe drawing is scaled around the canvas centre using a factor derived from the viewport. Its geometric parameters are expressed in a reference space and then transformed for display. The decreasing diameter is tied to frame count, so elapsed viewing time depends on how quickly the browser advances frames. This inspection confirms the early-to-developed transition in #0 and the held #63, but does not assert a universal duration in seconds. [^S02] [^S05] [^S11]\n\nThere are no interaction handlers in the inspected artist script. A viewer watches the image form; reopening the original renderer starts another rendering. Preserving the final preview records the settled composition, while preserving the program, token input and library also retains the brief drawing process. The index records a first token on 17 April at 02:46:31, followed by the second token and scheduled start on 20 April at 20:32:08. Its activation field is later that day at 20:47:19. Completion is recorded on 27 July at 17:46:17. Full timestamps and offsets are retained in the evidence record. [^S01]\n\nThe order of those fields cautions against treating activation as an unquestioned synonym for the first public purchase. The current record alone does not reconstruct every configuration change or classify the earlier token. This essay preserves the separately named events rather than selecting one timestamp to stand for all of them. [^S01]\n\nThe present supply and maximum are both 1,000, and the indexed price setting is 0.1 ETH. These are observations of the current record, not independent proof of the opening price or the originally announced maximum. No complete distinction between reserved, artist and public mints was recovered. Accordingly, the recorded completion date is not converted into a precise public sellout duration. That provides a separate dated record of the artist presenting the named project, but the coincidence of dates does not establish why the entry was posted or how collectors responded. This is a small comparison, not an edition-wide distribution study. [^S05] [^S06] [^S07] [^S08]\n\nNumber 0 develops from a compact cyan patch on a pale beige field into green and purple trails radiating across much of the square. Near the centre, repeated curved edges create an impression of folded depth. Farther out, the paths narrow into coloured points. The pale ground remains visible between them, so the form can appear both densely packed and permeable. Its initial blob gives little warning of the fine structure that will emerge. [^S05]\n\nNumber 1 places salmon and dark teal trails against a teal ground. Its transitions appear smoother and less insistently striped than #0's green-purple rhythm. Several broad paths near the centre seem to merge with the background before reappearing as pale or dark extremities. The result feels softer despite the pointed overall silhouette. That softness is a relationship between adjoining colours and accumulated edges, not a different kind of material being simulated. [^S06]\n\nNumber 10 uses a saturated red ground with purple, blue and dark trails. Small cyan or green interruptions sharpen the centre. The surrounding red reads as active colour rather than empty space, pressing into the gaps between the rays. Longer diagonal extensions make the form seem pulled beyond its central knot, while the fine terminal marks keep the edges from closing into a uniform star outline. [^S07]\n\nNumber 20 is set against dark blue. Pale yellow-green, cyan, red and near-black intervals create conspicuous bands along the trails. The image resembles a collection of jointed or beaded projections, although every projection is produced through circles overlapping through time. The bright central region appears especially deep because successive colour changes create many small edges for the eye to follow. The darkest intervals repeatedly interrupt that apparent continuity. [^S08]\n\nAB5D's #63 was inspected separately for the lead artwork. An early ochre patch appeared on a dusty pink ground before the completed radial form developed. The page uses the original renderer so that this construction remains available to the reader. It does not artificially loop or alter the artist's drawing sequence. [^S11]"

Those associations are readings of the outputs, not documented claims of scientific or botanical representation.
