Golan Levin is an artist, engineer, researcher, and educator whose work examines how computation can enlarge the vocabulary of human action. Born in New York in 1972 and now based in Pittsburgh, he has developed interactive installations, performances, visualizations, and generative systems since the mid-1990s. The project began with a 2021 classroom prompt to generate a family of blobs, then grew through more than two years of experiments.
