Marcin Ignac’s practice begins with a productive contradiction. He uses precise instructions to create images that feel organic, unstable, and alive. A Polish artist and programmer with backgrounds in computer science, new media art, and interaction design, Ignac works where software, information, and aesthetics meet.1 Through Variable, the studio he founded in 2012, he has pursued this encounter across artworks, installations, visualizations, and generative identity systems.2 The work moves readily between cultural and commercial settings, yet its central question remains consistent: how can an authored system make complexity perceptible without reducing it to a diagram?

The work makes systemic thinking sensuous. In doing so, it turns computation from an invisible infrastructure into a field of forms that can be observed, questioned, and imagined otherwise.
