The documented public practice of thetechnocratic is concentrated in 3 Minute Meditations, an Art Blocks Factory project released on 31 August 2022 as 159 unique artworks.¹ Rather than treating the individual output as a static endpoint, the series asks what happens when algorithmic composition is given a modest but meaningful span of time. Each work unfolds as a coordinated visual and sonic event, positioning duration as part of the artwork’s material.

Art Blocks documents a generative model in which an artist’s script combines with a token hash and dependency libraries to produce a deterministic, browser-viewable work.² Within that framework, thetechnocratic’s title supplies an unusually direct viewing instruction. Three minutes is short enough to enter casually, yet long enough for repetition, modulation, and perceptual adjustment to become noticeable. Meditation here is less a claim about spiritual practice than a practical structure for attention.

A bounded field of variation

Across the project, circles, radiating lines, wave-like contours, and changing color relationships form a visual vocabulary that is both economical and elastic. The official token record exposes traits including musical mode, weight, wobble, circle count, seed frequency, wave states, direction, chord width, wavelength, and arpeggiation.³ These parameters indicate a system in which graphic and musical decisions are treated as related dimensions rather than independent decorations.

The resulting images often resemble diagrams, instruments, or animated scores. Central circular forms establish a point of focus, while surrounding lines describe pressure, pulse, or transmission. Some outputs feel symmetrical and contained; others appear to stretch, bend, or vibrate against the frame. Color operates rhythmically, separating layers and making small changes legible over time. The six examples below demonstrate the breadth obtainable from a constrained grammar without implying that any single frame can represent the complete moving work.

Listening as a mode of looking

The project’s musical traits are central to its interpretive structure. A documented output can carry, among other attributes, a Phrygian mode, a defined chord width, an arpeggiation pattern, a seed frequency, and distinct starting and ending wave states.³ Such metadata does not substitute for experiencing the work, but it reveals how the artist formalized relationships between pitch organization, temporal behavior, and visual motion.

This synthesis places 3 Minute Meditations within a broader history of artists using computational rules to compose variation, while retaining a particular intimacy of scale. The viewer is not confronted with an endless environment or a monumental installation. Instead, the work proposes a repeatable encounter that can fit inside everyday time. A 2022 NFT market report includes the collection in its survey of generative releases from the second half of that year, situating it within a particularly active period for long-form generative work.⁴

The project’s most consequential parameter may be its duration: three minutes converts an output into an appointment with attention.

Edition, archive, and encounter

The edition of 159 works gives the algorithm enough room to articulate a family of related states while remaining surveyable as a finite collection.¹ OpenSea’s archival record also associates the series with Art Blocks, 159 works, and an August 2022 launch.⁵ Raster’s record for an individual work identifies it as a 2022 on-chain Art Blocks piece and preserves collection, authorship, market, provenance, and trait contexts.⁶

Because the artist’s wider biography is not established in the substantive sources located for this dossier, interpretation should remain close to the work. What can be said securely is that 3 Minute Meditations joins visual geometry to structured sound, uses deterministic generative variation, and asks viewers to remain with each result for a deliberately bounded interval. Its achievement is not complexity for its own sake. It is the conversion of code into a concise temporal ritual, one in which looking and listening become mutually reinforcing forms of concentration.
